Hanukkah & the holidays are yet another time of year where we are surrounded by friends and family and most of us coming together as one community. For singles it can be a stark reminder of how another year has passed and makes us wonder where did the time go yet again? There is something very nostalgic about Hanukkah & this time of year with memories of growing up and sharing precious times with our loved ones, having someone to share it with this year would be the icing on the cake surely? There is something so romantic during the holiday season; maybe it’s the time of year where the nights are drawing so much cooler and darker and we are thinking about someone to share the holidays with.

Our Dating Experts, Matchmakers and team in our Global Network have rallied around to bring you some love lessons to consider for the forthcoming year. Hopefully, with our great advice, guidance and expert team you will be on your way to finding your life-partner in no time at all.

Give Everyone A Chance. We are so connected today that we have become impatient, especially in our love lives. Make sure that when you are on a date with a prospective partner give them the best chance possible. If you have met via our matchmakers you must always have in the back of your mind that we are only introducing you to those who have marriage and a lifelong love in mind when meeting you.

Don’t Serial Date. We do believe it is important to keep your options open to find love but it’s not the 8 dates of Hannukah so please do not date a different person every evening as there could be a chance you are missing what is right in front of your eyes and busy thinking about the next person you are going to meet. Be fair to yourself and your date. If you are a serial dater you could be doing something detrimental to finding your true love.

Remember Nobody Is Perfect. When we choose a life partner we accept them for all there are, all they have been and all that they are yet to be. It is important to understand that nobody is perfect and if they seem to be, people and their outlooks change and grow and in relationships, they do too.

Trust Your Matchmaker. If you are a member of our Simantov Shtetl you will know by now that our matchmakers are honest and have only your best interests at heart- we are not in the business of wasting your time or ours; we want as many testimonials under our belts as is physically possible. If your matchmaker has presented someone as a match for you it’s with the best intentions and somewhere along the line he or she has spotted a compatibility like no other. Remember for every match the work your modern day yenta has done to reject dozens of others who are just not right for you. Gosh, that’s a lot of work, but that’s what we’re here for!

For more lessons to take away for your love life or for an exploratory chat with one of the matchmakers in our global network why not get in touch and see if you are a good fit for our marriage-minded community.
