Jerusalem may enjoy a less lively reputation than Tel Aviv but it still has plenty to offer for young Jewish singles searching for love.
All of the places listed below are perfect for a first date or to visit if you’re looking for that special someone to share your life with. There are no hard and fast rules about where you can meet the love of your life, so have an open mind and go out and enjoy what Jerusalem has to offer.
Here are five quick picks we wanted to share with you.
The Mirror Bar
Located within The Mamilla Hotel, the Mirror Bar is super-sophisticated and always buzzing with bright young things making plans and having a great time.
With an incredible selection of drinks and cigars from all over the world, top-class dining and lots of live music, The Mirror Bar ticks all the boxes when it comes to looking for love in Jerusalem.
The Western Wall
Sit outside with a coffee and enjoy watching people go about their lives at the famous Western Wall. Watching the sun set here is a lovely way to spend some time and it has a real romantic feel to it as well (providing you’re there with the right person).
Uganda
Thankfully, you don’t have to get on a plane to reach this Uganda. Found on Aristobolus Street, this is one of the most popular bars with young Jewish professionals in all Jerusalem.
The music gets people flocking from all over the city and the crowd is a friendly one with an atmosphere you won’t find anywhere else.
If you’re new to the Jerusalem social scene and just finding your feet, Uganda is one of the places you’ll want to be seen in.
Barbur Gallery
If you’re an art lover and are thinking it would be nice to meet someone who shares your passion for it, Barbur Gallery is a good bet.
As well as going to see some inspiring works, you can also take classes here, so it’s a chance for you to impress someone with your brush skills and take it from there!
Tmol Shilshom
This is the proverbial hidden gem. One minute you can be stuck in the main tourist throng then the next you’re transported to what feels like a secret café/bookshop combo that you’ll never want to leave.
Delicious food and books to lose yourself in can only bet bettered by one thing – great company. Maybe you’ll meet your special someone in Tmol Shilshom. If you don’t go, you’ll never know…
If you’re young, single and Jewish, Jerusalem is a great place to be.
