2015 saw the inaugural Moscow Jewish Film Festival taking place. This exciting new event is a must-do date for your diary. Not only will you get to enjoy some of the finest Jewish cinema in the world, it’s also a great place to make new connections with people your age.
Over 2,000 people attended over the 3 days for the first festival, and it’s sure to grow in popularity in the coming years. Make sure you don’t miss it.
Nikitskaya Jewish Cultural Center
Take part in workshops, seminars, events and exhibitions at the JCC in a lovely 19th century building. There’s always something interesting to do here and of course, the people who attend make it all the more enjoyable.
There’s an art-café on the premises too so after an activity you can have a drink or bite to eat while you get to know other Jewish Muscovites better.
Hermitage Garden
When you do get yourself a date, a trip to Hermitage Garden is a must. It may not have any Jewish connections, but that doesn’t matter. It’s a beautifully maintained and romantic space that feels like a million miles away from the bustling city.
Subtle lighting, love heart sculptures and tree lined pathways all add a magical tough to this exquisite outdoor space.
