Big news! Simantov is partnering with the European Maccabi Games to bring fun and love into your life!

The European Maccabi Games, the biggest Jewish sports event in Europe, will take place in Berlin from 27 July to 5 August 2015 and everyone at Simantov is very excited about it!

The games, which are held every 4 years, gather Jewish athletes from all over Europe. This year 2,000 athletes from 30 European countries will be coming to Berlin – along with guest delegations from Israel, the US, Australia, Argentina and South Africa – with their friends and families, to participate in the competition and in all the events surrounding the games. The EMG2015 organizing committee is expecting 15,000 spectators at the opening ceremony alone!

The good news is that this should make for 10 days of wonderful celebrations that we can all participate in, even those among us who are not athletically inclined. How can we all participate? Here is an idea…

If you are interested in taking part in the EMG2015 and in spending fun times with fellow Jews without exerting yourself on the sports fields, why don’t you register to volunteer during the Games?

Already 300 people of all ages – from 16 to 68 – have registered from all over the world and EMG2015 is expecting plenty more. Why not you? Aside from rubbing shoulders with great athletes, being a volunteer will give you the opportunity to participate in all the events associated with the Games for free – sports events and ceremonies, concerts and Shabbat dinner, etc – but also to spend time in Berlin, one of the most vibrant cities in Europe, and to make new Jewish friends. Who knows? You might even meet that special someone you’ve been looking for!

If you have the time – 3 days minimum – and are looking for a meaningful and possibly life-altering way to spend it, volunteering at the EMG2015 seems like a hard-to-pass-up opportunity.

If you would like more information, here is how you can go about it:
– send an email to volunteers@emg2015.org
– or register on the EMG 2015 website

See you at the Games!
